Chiefs Ink Two Draft Picks, Another Is Close

The Chiefs have sliced their list of unsigned draft picks in half as they have reached deals with third-round DE Alex Magee and sixth-round WR Quinten Lawrence.

Still without contracts are first-round DE Tyson Jackson and fourth-round CB Donald Washington. A player must have a signed contract to participate in training camp.

Details on Magee’s deal are unknown, but Lawrence reportedly signed a three-year, $1.275 million deal with a signing bonus of $90,000.

It appears that they’ll have a deal done with Washington sometime today.

Looks like a good posibility all the draft picks will be in camp at the beginning. That is a good thing. Sort of wish they looked like some special players not just some guys.

Lawrence won’t make the team, Magee won’t start so chalk up two more ‘no big deals’ for Kaycee.

Scott ‘I’m Just Like Carl P’ Pioli still lagging behind on signing the #1 pick this year, Jackson.

& Carl if not awe…some things ne’er change in ol’ Kaycee…heh heh heh

Still, we’ve “any 22 will do” for more s***s & giggles in the interim…

    As of yesterday…

Only 4 of the first 32 players drafted had been signed. FOUR.

So Pioli is not “lagging behind”. Get your facts straight before you spout off.

Ooops. Forgot who I was talking to.

Despite my having said that, Pioli has still been a major disappointment this off season. I truly fear the Chiefs are in for a last place finish AFC West.

Rin, had they not been signed, you would label it a big deal, STOP.

He is doing his job, signing picks, simple as that. Pioli has to worry about Jackson.

To say Lawrence WONT MAKE THE TEAM….is very bold…yes he dropped punts in OTA’s….yet, so did Dante Hall AND Eddie Kennison their first time with dustin colquitt and his nasty spin punts….dont write off a WR that quickly on a team that has no kick returner candidate except a RB that will have a hard time making it(savage) with Battle ahead of him, Smith on PuP for 6 weeks, Charles/LJ also on the roster.

Magee is not going to start? Ok….who cares about starters in a hybrid D that constantly moves from a 3-4 to a 4-3? there are 11 players on the field, but more like 14 important to that defense…Magee should be one of them….He was an early third rounder, going to a team that lacks ANY big body 3-4 DE’s outside of Jackson, who MAY hold out.

You are so certain, Im sure you were certain Barth had the job as well….

In the end, I dont know if Magee will be a big time player, but hes an important player to our new scheme, and Lawrence has insane speed, if he is able to get his issues under control, hes the fastest guy on the roster hands down.

    Nice try.

Must be tough not to have the BALLS to put your own name to a post. Do you have a pussy, too? Or just no balls?

A summation of alex k’s angsty blog:

    “had they not”… “STOP”… “simple”… “worry”… “dropped”… “nasty”… “not going to”… “Ok”… “but”… “should be”… “lacks” & this his Pièce de résistance - “I don’t know.”

Thank you alex… please come again (Scott secretly idolizes you.)

Why don’t you trouble makers (or is it trouble maker) go post on a Broncos or Raiders site?

  • July 29, 2009  - Scott says:

It’s just one guy, Harold. And anyone with a brain can figure out who it is. He’s the only one not smart enough to realize this, though. Right Rin?

Kettle Scott calling the teapot black.

  • July 29, 2009  - Josh says:

Yes, Harold, he’s also decided to use your name too…apparantly he’s decided that you’ve joined Scott, SG, findthedr, and countless others in illicit affairs with my mother.

It’s sad when someone who poses as someone who is so eloquent and well-versed finally shows their true colors and turns out to be a talentless hack.

Then again, I don’t know why I’m surprised. This IS Rin we’re talking about!

Got a serious question. On another site, the sponsor said Lawrence has a “poor” preformance during OTAs. And unless he really improved during training camp, he will not make the team as a WR but could be the KR. Anybody know anything about this? The guy is nationally known reporter so he may know something.

$90,000 bonus? Now he can go to club and make it rain.

Why does anyone respond to rint int in?????

Bob, I hope you turn your site into a pay site at least for those that want to post. That would make it impossible for the the old geezer living in his kid’s basement to post under other’s names.

  • July 31, 2009  - CK says:

Of course in reality I’m jealous of Rin because the truth is I can’t even use a crayon without someone holding my hand.
