Peterson Will Lead USA Football
Carl Peterson’s long involvement with growing the game of youth football has lead to his being named the new chairman of USA Football.
Based in suburban Washington, D.C., USA Football is the sport’s national governing body for youth and amateur football. Created in 2002 from endowments from the NFL and the NFL Players Association, the non-profit is composed of youth coaches, league commissioners and game officials.
USA Football stages coaching schools and clinics, officiating schools and clinics, and provides grants for equipment and other uses, as well as creating a national rule book and playing standards. USA Football also assembles national teams for international competitions.
Peterson will replace the late Jack Kemp, who had been the chairman of the group’s board of directors for several years. Kemp passed away in April. Previously, Peterson has served on the board of the NFL Youth Football Fund and was chairman of the board of trustees for Pop Warner Football.
The position is not a full-time job and Peterson will continue to live and spend most of his time in Kansas City. Back in April, Peterson turned down a chance to go to the Miami Dolphins as the team’s chief executive officer. He called the Miami offer intriguing, but felt it wasn’t the right time or opportunity to return to the NFL.

Such a great response from Chiefs Nation on Carl P. I knew Rin would have to respond on himself when I read this last night.So predictable from him . We are all legends in our own mind , if you don’t think so just ask.
About the time he was dining down in south fla with his Dolphin pin on his lapel during the Miami playoff game, there was quite a few people down there that wanted no part of him. Sure he is a good business man but he couldn’t keep his trap shut and his nose out of the football side. To big of an ego.
Thats why i doubt the owner actually made the offer. A PR nightmare that would be with Parcells and his guys and their turn around. Then you bring in an egomainiac and he just fits in. I don’t think so.
It’s good about the new job though. He cares about the game and youth and that’s genuine from my eyes. I just don’t by the Miami bit. The connection was there since he worked for the new owner Ross before. Just didn’t make any sense.

Fake Rin/Real Rin,
Whoever is doing all the non-sensical bonus comments, please consider discontinuing your practices, as there are actual Chiefs fans on here who care to have a real discussion - even if some of that discussion is to question the sanity of Real Rin’s positions. Some of us do take the time to read substantive comments, even from Rin (who would think such a thing could occur). If there is a fake rin, consider simply signing on and making light of the substance of Rin’s comments…many of us do that - with great skill - and Rin grants us that same courtesy. However, when there’s 8 messages of 12 from one handle on here, 6 of which are abusive, it tends to get on the annoying side.

- Bob G told Rin long ago to merely point out the “fakes’ whenever I see them, and do nothing more. He is aware of them (and others) who are signing in under other folks names. What he is doing or will do is in his hands.
As for me - the one and only too legit to quit Rin Tin Tin - the difference in narrative style mine and the wannabes is obvious.

It’s entertaining when the wit shows up - it’s usually easy to see the real one from the wanna-be. Hopefully the wanna-be will just pick a name and bring some A-Game - because their attempt to impersonate is un-convincing.

Honestly, Rin doesn’t phase me. I don’t find him to be as witty or “sharp” as he tends to think he is. Coherency of thought is not one of his stonger points either.
If you want to know my theory, “real” Rin and “fake” Rin are one in the same…Narcissus does like to stare at his reflection a bit more than the rest of us, I think.

This last post ^ above mine is the ‘fake Rin’ in his ordinary attire… Rin regularly kicked Josh patute over the last year until he left the blog, and he didn’t return (at least using the name of Josh) until fairly recently. There might be more than one fake Rin but they too fail to scribe as do I: the one, the only & original Rin Tin Tin.
Josh ‘Rin’ has a terrible case of ‘green eyes’ - he nee his desperate attempts at engagement make me smile - and laugh! (like this: heh heh heh!)
The one thing that always makes Rin grin the most however? Those who continuously chastise Rin and then claim that I Rin am trying to draw attention to myself. Fact is if folks chose to merely read or ignore Rin, it would be all the same to He/me.
As Rin has said before He writes for Himself & as part and parcel thereof those who read Him become edified. Those who cannot or refuse to ignore Him and are compelled to comment have only themselves to blame for their angst.
Beyond Rin & too Bob G, there is very little in the way of intelligence evidenced on this board as to a historical aspect the Chiefs. Bob knows alot - Rin knows more than Bob G or anyone else blogging on here…I can say that not because I know the depth their knowledge any only because Rin knows His - and it is vast - as well Rin is peerless as such. I can put my knowledge Chiefs (especially the ‘63-’69 era) up against ANYBODY who works for the Chiefs or does not and I will not come in second behind any of them.
You’ll note Rin writes and people respond to Him. Rin only responds to others whence they choose to address me… as such, these folks are the makers their own personal Hell…they must like the heat.
I usually avoid commenting after something Rin says, mainly because he is insane and what will follow will be some 600 line diatribe where he takes every word out of context and creates his own fantasy conversation. (Life must be hard with so few friends…especially living in your mother’s basement well into your 70’s.)
For the record,
I believe it was RIN, not I who “took a vacation to France” around the time that his bed partner Herm was canned…and didn’t return for months on end. How convenient that the “man” who sentences people to their “own personal Hell” wasn’t here to own up for his numerous “Clark Hunt has affirmed…Herm’s the man!” spamming posts. Hmmm.
Apparantly, to quote Sinatra, Rin’s “got me under his skin”…I can honestly say that I have never consciously signed on under another name. I’m very intersted to see what other conspiracy theories Rin has me tied to. Maybe it was I, not Oswald that shot JFK? Perhaps I was the mastermind behind Spygate? No wait, I’m Bin Laden’s #2 in command, right? HAHA. Nice try there, Rin, but circle gets the square.

That jingle hasn’t been used in that precise form since the 1960s…as with everything, they massage and try to improve on the original. . .alas, be it blades, football teams etc., it be but a progress to decline (that Rin remembered it is - once again - a tribute to mine recall nee genius.)
