Jets Say Good Bye to T.J.

The Jets were busy on Sunday. They signed LaDainian Tomlinson to replace Thomas Jones.

But they wanted to thank Jones for three strong seasons, so they bought a full page ad in the Kansas City Star. If you want to you can check it out in Sunday’s paper on page A-11.

Or, if you’ve grown out of handling the daily fish wrap, just click on read more and you can see the ad.

Given how unusual placing this ad is, one wonders why the Jets didn’t keep Jones, especially in a season where there’s no salary cap.

Take a look:

The Jets keep their “class” intact and respect throughout the league. The go from an older very good running back to offering a younger very good running back in L.T. a final chance at a Superbowl.

Hopefully, “TJ” will give US 2 years of 1,000 + yards and coaching Charles to become better developing toughness, dedication and leadership too.

wow speaks volumes about the player we have for the next 2 seasons…I always liked thomas jones even when struggling in arizona. Hopefully he can call KC home for that time, and maybe a year beyond.

    T. Jones was a tough runner in his time with Chicago as well. He will give us tough yards between the tackles, and help prevent overuse of Charles. Good acquisition, and helps Chiefs show they are trying to win sooner rather than later.
