Who the heck is Tamarick Vanover? I became a Chiefs fan in 2000 when I spent the “best year of my life” at Ft. Leavenworth – but I never heard that name before.

Another player to mention: Dantrell savage. Pretty good yardage I think. Too bad he had an occasional case of fumblitis. I loved his resume as a walk-on during tryouts, making the active team year one. Too bad he’s gone and didn’t find another landing spot by now.

Tamarick was the best return guy KC had until Dante came along. I think he was a mid 90′s draft pick of ours out of Florida State. Anyway, good returner, not much of a WR. He also had a drug problem! My best memory of Tamarick was during a monday night game against the chargers and we were in OT and he ran a punt back for a TD to win the game! I was listening on the radio and the stadium got so loud that you couldn’t hear mitch holtus talking for about 10 seconds, it was crazy!

And Marty ran down to the endzone and gave him a kiss! One of the loudest games I can remember. Marty gave Vanover another shot during his tenure in Boltland but Vanover was over.
